Welp, I’m out then...

But, the best fried chicken is at The Carriage House.

True Story. Get a Jenkins Mint Julep to go with it!

Looks like a Nicholls/Folse Culinary School alumna is at the helm of the Carriage House these days: LINK

Went there yesterday for lunch after church and spoke with her. IMO the food yesterday was the best I’ve had yet there.

I enjoyed Pearl Street Pasta.

The Camp is more casual, but the food is really good and with decent beer selection. Located right on the river under the hill.

The Bellemont Shake Shop. As good of a cheeseburger and milkshake as you will get anywhere.

This is an option. Comparable to anything in Baton Rouge, or is it kind of squarely in between a chain and say, Digiulios?

Thanks everyone. Might try Carriage house for lunch, or is that also a good dinner spot?

CH is a better lunch spot, IMO.

1818 anyone? Not sure I want to try "fine dining" without knowing much about the place.

Not a chance.

It’s hard to pick just one in Natchez as they each have a specialty you might say.

Pearl Street Pasta is top notch Italian. A very nice setting with a solid wine selection. Don’t even bother driving by on Valentines Day.

The Carriage House is the brunch of choice. You can’t go wrong.

The Camp is a great casual setting and location with a pretty wide range of food/beer selections. It’s also the best place in town to watch a game on tv.

Magnolia Grill does seafood very well and has a beautiful location.

King’s Tavern has an awesome atmosphere and cocktails but portion sizes can be a tad lacking.

I’ve actually never been to 1818 but it is indeed quite upscale fine dining by all accounts.

Born there but raised a bit down the road. It’s like a second home.

Aww, don’t hate just because I didn’t support your suggestion.

I don’t think Roux is bad by any means. It’s just......bland. You come to Natchez for the charm and atmosphere as much as the food and drinks. Roux just feels like another boring chain seafood joint to me.
