Saturday I'll probably be eating BBQ at the Millrace Massacre and Iceman Championship (whitewater kayaking) here in Cola. Helps out the local paddling club.

Sunday I'll probably smoke something. Depends on what I find at Costco Saturday.

Gonna do shrimp and grits with a tasso cream sauce. Using some tasso I picked up at Jacob's in Laplace. It's pretty good. Need to cook with it before I eat it all plain.

Great weather here in Dallas. Green egg all day every day for the Wild Card.

Got a ton of stuff in my freezer from Kartchners that has been itching for a defrost.

I got a Boston Butt for $.97 a lb. on sale from Rouses last week that I put in the freezer and will probably smoke it on Sunday.

Not sure about tomorrow, but am leaning toward getting some shrimp and boiling them with all the regular stuff you toss in a seafood boil=====either that or get some big shrimp and do the Pascale's Manale' BBQ shrimp recipe and score a loaf of French Bread to sop up the sauce.

Had a fridge full of left over greens and such from the holidays so da wife got a pot of gumbo verde on the stove and it smells wonderful. Since we aint a restaurant and it aint gotta be the same every time we make it like mama did with what ya got. we had cabbage letuce celery spinach greens, some beet greens and parsley and green onions from da yard this with left over ham and sausage and a bit of grilled smokey pork steaks I am sure I aint got it all but it is simmering away in the gumbo pot with a light small roux. Sure smells good
