I love a good blue agave Tequila Marg occasionally and wondered how you guys make yours.
So 3 ingredients for me, sometimes 2
-A 100% blue agave tequila
-fresh (sometimes bottled, Im lazy) lime juice
-agave nectar. The lighter kind not the dark stuff
It replaces the triple sec headache/heartburn and makes a hell of a Margarita. If you want to stay classic stick with Lime juice and tequila Blanco. But if you haven’t, try the agave nectar.
I use to use the Jose Cuervo bottled mixer and got bad indegestion/heartburn before I ever felt a buzz, so swapped to a homemade one.
Try a homemade one with basic ingredents and you’ll never get another one from a restaurant or bar again. If anybody reads this far we can talk nice tequila because I’d love good suggestions.

This is close to how we do it...all our stuff is fresh squeezed, but we will also often include part of an orange squeezed. Could never go back to the fake and sugary as hell bottled stuff.
The GF also likes to make them with fresh grapefruit juice and a couple slices of jalapeno muddled in for what's essentially a spicy paloma.
We haven't gotten into the agave nectar. I'll usually use simple syrup or the GF will use a couple drops of stevia (fewer carbs that way).

This is also how we do ours (but with fresh squeezed OJ).
We sometimes will juice a pineapple or watermelon and adjust the ratio of Orange juice to make up for it.

Agree. Did some the other week and they were outstanding. Has to be fresh pineapple, though.
About a month back we did some blackberry mint margaritas. Wanted to try something a little different. They came out fantastic.

I just pour a lime-a-rita over ice and enjoy.

I haven't gone the agave syrup route but instead use Patron Citronage.
Silver tequila
citronage
fresh lime juice
shaken and poured over ice with a salted rim
Simple, traditional, and delicious.
