You know, when the Saints were in the Super Bowl, we tried to play the "eat your opponent's food" game. The best Indiana can come up with for signature food is Fried Pork Sandwich. Ugh!

Some in Indianapolis, a thousand miles from the ocean, tried to say their best famous dish was Shrimp Cocktail at some local restaurant.

It's important to recognize how we good we have it in Louisiana.

If they were to adopt some. LA's food heritage is so rich will be tough to come up with categories much less specific dishes.

Official LA State Symbols

FTR, official TX foods:
Dish - chili
Cobbler - peach
Pie - pecan

Chili ought to be replaced with brisket but the peach cobbler and pecan pie are solid picks.

In difference to Texas, we don't have one or two things food wise we're known for, so probably the best thing to say is...

Official Louisiana Foods:

FOOD
