Talking restaurants that have closed down. For me it’s gotta be Chelsea’s grilled cheese and tomato soup. That damn thing was so good

Did not know that. I don’t live there anymore. Next time I come in for a game I gotta grab one. Is it as good as the original?

Bennigans Monte Cristo.

I’ve had some others and they were fine, but not at all the same.

The Wild Mountain Chicken Sandwich from Wendy’s. I don’t remember exactly what it tasted like, but it was a slightly spicy, smoky sauce that wasn’t barbecue, but it was delicious.

I do some work every few months in a small town in north Texas called Borger and they still have a Bennigans. It is still on the menu.

Back when Pinetta’s was owned by the Eastern European family in the 80’s-90’s the shish-ka-bob was my favorite restaurant meal. We would go at least once every couple of months or so for that meal. When it reopened we tried it again and it was terrible. The new owners screwed that place up. Never been back.

There are a lot of things in this thread I miss (why on earth was the plantation salad so fricking good?!) but I had forgotten about that shish kabob. It was great and I have never found another like it,
