Im not a vegan. A few years ago I went veggies/fruit only for a while to see if I could. I lasted about a month but I clearly remember the poop.

Perhaps my body was so polluted that it didnt know how to handle clean food lol.

Chili with black beans, pinto beans & kidney beans (corn is optional). I made it for a vegetarian friend and she loved it.

I've made different types of quiches for vegetarian friends, not sure what to do without dairy, though.

I don't recall specifically, but I'm sure my body did was doing some weird things when I made the switch at first. The good news is things get better.

mostly vegan

I didn't know there was such a thing as "mostly" vegan. I always thought it was either/or.

I am not vegan, but this black bean and sweet potato chili is good, the lime juice and spices make it. Penzey's Chili 9000 is good stuff.

Some people prefer to ease their way into a new lifestyle. If you jump into it too fast, you may think you can't do it and give up. By trying to be vegan 3 times a week (not sure of OP's plans), you can slowly adapt and get used to the change. I'm not sure what the OP meant by mostly vegan, but that was my take on it.

Giving up all animals products isn't easy when you've eaten them your whole life.

Gotcha. Sort of like soft swinging...easing your way into the lifestyle.

There is an "80/10/10" vegan diet out there.

I like to tweak that with the last "10" being cheating. It is a slow process. The toughest part is dairy. And if going vegetarian some people just pound dairy.

I have just tried to cut out the needless shite. Haven't drank milk in probably 6 months. Also lunch meat.? Why bother? It is mostly crap.

I love juices and smoothies. Best one so far is peanut butter, soy milk, cocoa powder, honey, and bananas. It is fricking awesome. By no means low calorie but better than pounding bacon and eggs.

OP ignore the haters. But remember to not make yourself miserable eating.

Check out PB2 powder... I like to put it in my smoothies. It's 85% less calories from fat or something or another. I'm obsessed with the stuff. Also, add some greens to those smoothies... You won't taste em anyway.
