If you haven't seen it, Food, Inc., is worth watching.

Forks over Knives is a really good one but it will seriously have you considering being a vegetarian.

Save yourself the hour. Cliff notes: the government is responsible for people being fat because they conspired with large food companies regarding the marketing of high-sugar foods.

I watched it and didn't give any thought into being a vegetarian because that's just stupid

Ehhhh . . . not so sure. Big Ag is kind of shitty, to be honest. Or, at best, amoral.

High fructose corn syrup really sucks, btw.

And frick their seed patents. Power to the peeps . . . or at least the small farmer.

Yeah, we produce a lot of stuff. What's your point? And, as an aside, most of it . . . yes, MOST of it, is fricking wasted.

This.

Also, Kings of Pastry, it's about the Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition which is about as stressful as any food competition could be.

Three Stars, a detailed look at running a high level restaurant.

Not a documentary per se but Mind of a Chef is amazing, especially the David Chang and Sean Brock seasons.

Obsessives: Soda Pop

Short documentary/interview with the owner of the Soda Pop Stop, an L.A. store dedicated to various obscure and craft sodas.

If you have the Moxie, learn all about the evils of corn syrup and the glories of cane sugar.
