Boston Butt here. Too lazy to crank up the pit and the wife wants the oven for Peach Cobbler. Only at 150 now so I still have a bit to wait, but MSU/GA doesn't start until 6:00 so there is plenty of time.

I saw. A great big pot of chili!

Gives me ideas of what to do in a week or two. Or tomorrow night.

Cheap(ish) chuck steaks on the grill, mushroom risotto in the Instant Pot.

Depending on how the wife is feeling, maybe some homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Crawfish etoufee, spring mix salad

The other poster mentioned it and I'll second..what is the wife's cobbler recipe? Warm peach cobbler over homemade vanilla blue bell is as good as it gets.

Cobbler

At my request, she is cooking my old Boy Scout recipe.

two large cans of sliced peaches into the casserole dish, a yellow cake mix dumped on top of that and a stick of butter chipped and distributed over the cake mix.

When I was a scout master, We did them in Cast iron pots on campouts. We would do 8 Dutch ovens and have none left after the troop passed by and got a serving apiece. Of course, we would take aver a hundred scouts to the woods to camp (148 in troop).

I have posted peach cobbler multiple times in the past and lost all of those photo posts. I will try to repost one or two of them, but not today. Lots of company on the way and the MSU game starts at 6:00.

I would smoke salmon at 200. However, I didn't smoke it this time. I grilled it on a cedar plank and added some wood smoke to give it a little smoke flavor, but it is grilled, not smoked.

I grilled it at 350.
