Correct. Mosca's is in Waggaman, not Avondale.

I don't care where it is. No one in our group was impressed with the food there. The way they served the food "family style" was also annoying.

I could have sworn is was Marcelo’s

The only Marcelo's (or Marcello's??) I know of in NOLA, was a place on St. Charles near Herbsaint, and it was folks from Lafayette, not the NO Family. It sucked.

Impastatos was terrible last time I went. Like beyond bad and the service was even worse.

Yeah that’s why I’m confused

I definitely remember Maximos but there was an Italian restaurant just about across the street from Jax Brewery and for some reason I can’t remember the name.

Oh, I know the place you're talking about. On a corner and had three stories of dining. Carmello's maybe?

It was good for a while, and then sort of went to shite.

You’re exactly right. It was good then it wasn’t

It’s extremely easy to beat food wise.

I think that the name of the Italian place upstairs on Decatur was Carmello's and if I remember correctly it was owned by the Fiorello's(?). One of their kids opened one in Venetian Isles and it burned down after a few months.

I wouldn’t even put it in the top 10, but the OP asked for the best old school restaurants

Lester is fricking around. He loves to clown on Metairie.

Impastatos is pretty terrible but they do have a very legit Veal Porterhouse. But it’s overall laughably outdated.

The wine list cracks me up. Your finest Meomi or Kim Crawford sir

I looked it up - it was on the corner of Toulouse and Decatur - I used to work At O’Flaherty’s and I don’t remember Carmelo’s at all must’ve been bad
