Roma Deli on Sherwood Forest had a "Roma Special" sandwich that was really good. I liked that sandwich shop.

Lymans white beans were kick arse good. Mama should be declared a treasure by LSU in some manner and a space found for her to do her magic again.

Nights just aren't the same without the rhythmic gunshot ringing outside my window to put me to sleep.

Veal Parm from Ginos

Round the World from Fleur De Lis, add anchovies (Although, about every other time I give into my craving and get it, I wonder why. The other half of the time, it's as great as I remember.)

I've never set foot in the remodeled version.

Not a conscious decision or anything, just never had a reason to do so.

I liked the old divey place, though.

There was a grocery store downtown that was lost when the overpass was built off of North Blvd. Romano's grocery. They had plate lunches and hot sausage poboys. I miss them everytime I drive over the new bridge.

The building was still there several years ago. The overpass didn't take them out of business. They just decided to close and did so before the construction began.

The asian girls graduated from LSU. I think one went off to dental school.

I believe their parents moved back to Morton, MS and sold AM Mart about a year ago.
