Pizza at my house too. Dough from the fridge, topped with a scant bit of tomato, spinach, and some Israeli sheeps milk feta.

Bailey's and Wayne Jacobs have pretty damn good hogshead IMO.

I like Jacobs andouille best personally.

Owen Brennen's in Memphis. After lots of bland food last dozen times in Memphis it was like an oasis in the desert. Chargrilled oysters ,turtle soup, Redfish Perez and bananas foster. Young couple at next table seemed intrigued at flaming desert. Paid one forward for them before leaving. Hope they enjoyed a taste of Louisiana.

How'd you go about buying that dessert?

Someone paid for my lunch at a local fried chicken place last week. I found out when I asked my waitress for the check. It was pretty nice, I want to do it for someone soon.

I mean did you tell them or just have the waitress bring it over after you left?

Unlike me, they were so thin and healthy looking I told waitress If they didn't want bananas foster to give it to the wait staff. She said not likely they would turn it away.

Doesn't the whole idea of telling them ruin the spirit of the gesture?

I boiled some shrimp out the freezer for supper, along with some potatoes, garlic, corn, baby carrots and smoked sausage.
