Braised short ribs, smoked gouda mashed potatoes and roasted brussels. Wine TBD.

Before skimming the grease.

Went with 2010 Cyrus to drink.

My husband boiled crawfish earlier today. We have plenty leftover, but it will be an every man for himself kind of night.

I might be the only one that like to boil calamari with my shrimp and snow crabs. Waters heating up.

I highly doubt this is what he did, but chicken with a packet of taco seasoning and a jar of salsa in the slow cooker makes legit tacos.

I'm trying out a carnitas recipe in the slow cooker on Thursday.

I've used both thighs and breasts.. no noticeable difference between the two. It cooks so much that you shred it anyway.

No other liquid.

I've got a lot of red beans going. We picked it up a notch and threw a ham hock from the Christmas festivities in the pot. The beans and ham will be parlayed with a pound and a half of smoked venison sausage.

The beers taste exceptionally well today for some reason.
