Need information please.

Have you been to Iron Horse yet? Way back when (like 1990) it was our go to place for TexMex. Sad when it burned. I got excited when I read that it was coming back. However, we don't seem to be able to make it to J-Town.

Is it any good? Did you - by chance - go last Saturday night and hear Muddy Waters' son play blues?

Oh - WFDT? Grilled salmon and sweet potatoes

Me too. I don't feel like a bun this evening. Have some grilled onions and roasted cauli, broc and brussel sprouts with it. Might roast a red potato too.

I was jackassing dunking a ball and crammed my neck under the backboard at my little kid basketball practice. Really hard. Next thing I know I'm on the floor with some moms asking if I'm ok. Potential permanent damaged. Probably an inch shorter. The morning may begat medical treatment. I'm having a scotch and a flexaril fdt.

we used to go all the time when i was at millsaps. i loved that place before it burned.

i did not go this past sat night but i saw who was playing.

we have been once since it reopened--the wednesday night before thanksgiving.

the atmosphere is great, albeit different from before. it still has that airy, brick, warehouse feel but has been spiced up with a stage, uplighting etc. it's not too distracting and is pretty refreshing to be honest. they have a very good beer selection.

their food, i hate to say, was extremely poor. granted they had only been open a couple weeks i believe before we tried it but they were still working with a limited menu and really didn't have an excuse. their tortillas were leathery and seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. i was persuaded into getting a burger (forget the name but it was highly recommended by him) and it was lukewarm.

the manager came by near the end to check on us and i politely told him our issues. after he walked away the table behind us began telling us how bad their meal was also

i'll give it another shot but it's going to be a while. i really hope they get it together.

Crap

Our oldest son lives in Clinton, went about the same time as you mention and said exactly the same thing when comparing the new Iron Horse to the old Iron Horse.

Now I don't know if we should waste our "Jackson time" there.

Sigh - another old white BB guy hits the dust.

Hope you stay out of the Hospital. I know a good witchdoctor if you need one.

Flexaril and scotch will make you see visions. If you see powerball numbers tonight e-mail me before Wednesday afternoon and I'll pick us up a ticket.

Sorry to hear about your ailment, Balls!

Get well soon.

I had a fairly mediocre dinner tonight before soccer.

I hit the "hot" bar at Whole Foods:
Greens, mixed veggies, quinoa salad (least favorite quinoa I've had), pasta salad, garbanzo bean salad.
