I am struggling to catch enough for a boil, with the cold high water, but I have been saving them as I catch them. They are living in my son's old wading pool in the back yard covered with hardware cloth. Jacob keeps wanting to get in there with them.

i had to stop at the dollar store for enchilada sauce. big grocer was out also scooped up a bag of lentils.

going to make some baller arse enchiladas for cinco de mayo. local mexican place has 2 for 1 margaritas this weekend but im probably gonna stay sober till i hit my vacays this summer

All day slow cooked chicken thighs with carrots, onion, bell pepper, zucchini and el pato jalapeño salsa. Served with rice.

Grilled bone-in pork chop topped w/ mushroom & shallot demi-glace, gruyere/Parmesan Mac n cheese, asparagus & vino.

Also, just got a BGE as a wedding present. Brought it home tonight

Ribeye steak poboy. Steak on Carona's french bread with mayo(Blue Plate), and carmelized onions.

Darla, that still looks good. Tell me what you measure for the rice cooker. I haven't done quinoa in it yet. Fir rice, I do the knuckle thing.

LouLa, those enchiladas look excellent! So do the sopapillas (I couldn't figure out what they were at first glance. I was thinking it was some sad looking pizza.)


Gris, thanks. I use the rice maker measuring cup and then add water to the 2 cup line in the rice pot. ;-)

I do it exactly like I do rice, whether you're supposed to, or not.
