I got distracted and completely forgot about some chicken breasts and grilled them too long. The thermometer was beeping for everything it's worth when I remembered and got back to them. So tonight, it's chopped chicken breasts with barbecue sauce so I can choke them down.
I have dishonored my ancestors tonight.
The baked beans and the mustard greens came out okay. I have some vanilla ice cream and mint thin oreos for later.

Got out of my downtown element and ate with the Uptowners at Bistro Daisy for my birthday. Between the two of us we had the oysters in herbsaint cream, apple and endive salad, duck confit, black drum, and baked Alaska (didn't order, they brought out for birthday). Next time, and there will be one, I will not order two first courses. I'm dying. But it was a great meal and atmosphere.
