Traffic and Security. They already have more business than they can handle. It's friggin packed almost every day, open to close. If someone opens a similar sized store as tony's and la fish fry, they would NEVER be able to compete pricewise with property that's been paid off for years, and a staff that runs like a well oiled machine with tony's volume. Think about it for a second... would you shut down your already paid for cash cow, only to move across town, pay an untold fortune in new costs, and rely on your workers that are from that area to travel across town to come to your new shiny flagship looking store? There is absolutely NO reason to move. None. That's just rediculous.
Exactly. I have a friend who's family owns a small business in the N.O. area. They do a great business and have had the land and building paid off forever. They are always being asked about expansion. The simple answer is they have all of the business they can handle and the headache would be way to much to open another location. Don't fix what is not broken. Sounds like Tony's has it going on.

You could easily close the Popeyes on Staring
I thought you wanted him in a better location.

Perkins at Essen isnt bad at all. Im saying he could open in that vacinity and take that Popeyes down. Thats one of the worst ones I have ever been to the chicken looks more like quail pieces. There is not many places to eat on Essen for some strange reason despite such traffic volumn.

Just saying the area behind that Popeyes(and on other side of Staring) has it's issues as well.

Believe me people Tony's isn't going anywhere. I've known that family for years and I occasionally run into Mr. Tony's sons when I go home. I know Bill and all his brothers. I went to high school with them and that school being Redemptorist I remember back in the sixties when Bill and my brother were arrested. They were caught stealing something from Shoppers Fair on Plank Road. My dad tore my brother up because what they were stealing, they didn't have the equipment to play it. Those were the days and before Tonys got successful. Back in the day, Tonys was an old Esso service station. Mr. Tony hails from Donaldsonville. When I taught over there I taught a couple of Mr. Tony's nieces. But I can assure you, Tonys is staying put.
