Well I finally got off my arse and drove across frickin town to get some frickin chickin everybody is talking about......overall i was impressed
1)Service... Very friendly relatively quick for a chicken place Grade A
2) Price very fair Grade A
3) Onion Rings.. Not my favorite, nothing wrong with them kinda a cross between Sonic and Burger King .. grade B-
4) Potato Salad WOW Great Wonderfull surprise, I think it had bacon and sour cream but whatever it was. it was great, easily the best potato sald I have ever got from a resturant. Grade A++++
5)Chicken, Very good and well seasoned (we got a mixed box and I like the mild better, the spicy was great but I prefer the mild)well cooked without being dry and overcooked, and large pieces unlike Popeyes. Only negative was you could tell the chicken had been under the lamps for a while, but I went at an odd time and I know how hard it can be to keep fresh chicken all day Grade A
6)Biscuits light fluffy and good Grade A+

Overall Much better than the chains and I wish them the best of Frickin luck, I will go back

Thanks, when I go to visit my mom in October, I'll definitely give that place a try since she lives in the subdivision down the road from that place.

Got chicken from there a couple of weeks ago myself. overall pretty good. Only complaint I had was that they were out of red beans on the day I was there.
Also I loved the guy who took my order, told me will be with me in a fricken minute.

I went there for the first time today, too. I have had their chicken before at functions, but I had never tried their strips.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those were the best chicken strips/fingers I have ever had!!! They were a bit skimmpy on the fries, but the fries were hot. The biscuit almost melted in my mouth...yum!!! The service was great: "Can I take your frickin order!?" and "Have a great Frickin day!!"

The owner, at least I think he was the owner had a .45 strapped to his side. He automatically saw that I was prior military and began telling me crazy stories about his time in IRAQ. Dude is nuts!

On that side of town, you better have a 45 strapped to your side. At one time, that was a great part of the city until the slum lords bought the complexes on Gardere.

Both times I have been, I left happy. He probably carries heat with him because a few months back they were held up at gunpoint. If it happens again, I hope he blasts a hole thru the scumbag's head.

I lived there for several semesters when I was at LSU during the early 80's and it was ok back then but the tax laws changes and eliminated the tax credits for rental properties and the Dr's and lawyers that owned then lost their arse and dumped most of the on the market. It went downhill from there.

However, a lot of new construction is coming into the area as well as new upscale condos and it Pinnacle ever builds I imagine a lot of that will be knocked down.

That being said, Frikkin Chicken is the best in BR by far.

That is what I was thinking. But, you know how things are on TD.com. He could have been a nutjob.

So, was he the dude with the gun?

First of all, thanks for the great food. I wish you well in the future.

I honestly do not remember if the person I spoke with had glasses or not. He told me that he was heading back to Iraq, soon, and was a sniper in the ARMY. He had brown hair. Does this help?

You are welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it.

Seriosly why not open up another location outside the hood for those of us that dont carry firearms but like good fried chicken? Or at least offer armed carivan service.

Cool. It was nice to meet you. I have to say that that was the first time I have ever been to a restraunt, and the staff was armed(except while in the USMC).

By the way, I saw many "suspicious" looking individuals about 300-400 yrds from your restraunt--if you catch my drift...
