When Wendy’s used to cook burgers fresh they were pretty damn good. For years they have been cooking them in advance and keeping them warm waiting for an order. If you like precooked food and fries that are rarely hot and fresh then Wendy’s is your place.

Wendy's is trash. 
In the bottom tier of fast food burgers, in which Wendy's squarely lies, Burger King is the best. This tier is drunk meal when you can't find taco bell.
Sonic, Whataburger, and in n out are the only drive thru burgers worth wasting a 1200 calorie sober meal on.

in n out's burgers are the best fast food burgers.
it's the in n out fries that are bland as frick and the reason many people say in n out is "overrated".
shake shack is really good but it's more fast casual and definitely not fast food priced to compete with the likes of in n out, etc.

Shake shack, five guys, hopdoddy, grub, etc are a tier above whataburger and in n out. They're just pretty much legit burger places. Nothing fast food about them, other than shack shack's frozen fries.

Yeah it's hard to call something fast food when a burger, fries and drink cost $18. Whataburger and Sonic are pretty hard to beat but I'll give the edge to Whataburger because of the fries are better and the ketchup packets and large drink that comes with the combo that's needed when I'm hungover which is basically the only time I eat there.

I love Wendy's, but their quality control has gotten so bad, at least at the ones here in Bham, that I almost refuse to go entirely. The off chance I do go and they are on their game for the day, it is damn good though.

Sonic is awful and is absolutely in the bottom tier of all fast food of any stripe
It's a huge menu of extremely low quality food in shitty areas with little else

I'm talking specifically burgers. Theirs are above the McDonald's, burger king, Wendy's tier and in the same tier with Whataburger and in n out IMO. Bottom of that tier, but same group nonetheless.
Wendy's and McDonald's are interchangeable to me. Basically the same patty just with a different shape. Burger King with the char sets themselves slightly above.
We're talking about places that prioritize speed over quality of food not high quality offerings.

No way
BK seems to be polarizing so I won't argue that point. Not my favorite but I understand why it's appreciated.
But McDonalds beef tastes like a literal trash can, and deserves to be at the bottom IMO.
