Wife and I are starting Weight Watchers. We both signed up online today for a 6 month membership. Both of us have gotten a little too fluffy.

I got the basics down. We did this about a decade ago and had success.

I'm looking for food and recipe tips. I'm not a big veggie eater. A lot of the recipes on the WW website/app seem to love squash, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Both of us are your typical meat and potatoes people. Salads are fine but I don't like anything too crazy.

Looking for any tips, ideas, experiences, etc that you have.

Thanks in advance.

Just eat meat if you don't like vegetables. Just avoid carbs and sugar and you'll drop weight like it's going out of style. If you are concerned about micro nutrients from not eating vegetables (you really shouldn't be unless you have some sort of deficiency) take a multi vitamin

Skinnytaste.com is my favorite healthy recipe site.

Weight Watchers is just calorie counting with the numbers scaled down, although they've recently switched up and made things like chicken breasts and plain Greek yogurt 0 points to encourage users to do more of a low-carb style calorie deficit.

Many blogs/websites with "diet" recipes will give the calorie counts and the WW points. I don't know how the point changes affect this is you are viewing older posts, however.

There's a Weight Watchers subreddit that's very active.

That's what I was going to suggest. I've been making her stuff for years.

I lost 25 lbs on WW last year. Love the freestyle plan. I'm not crazy about squash but I do love roasted or grilled vegetables. Skinnytaste does have great recipes.

You can still use your favorite meat and potatoes with smaller portions and maybe some tweaking (less oil, butter, etc).

My husband is our main cook and I haven't had him change much except making smaller hamburger patties.

Good luck!

Thanks for the link, it seems like you are doing good work over there which is much appreciated by many.

I looked into keto. A friend of mine has lost 70 lbs in close to a year. We were looking for something the wife and I could do together, and she is dead set against keto at this time.

The wife and I started Keto today.

I already hate it as someone brought donuts to the office this morning.

But I refrained and I’ll start following the Keto stuff on the HFB

Thanks for the link

Skinnytaste for sure. She even calculates the weight watchers points for you.
Never cooked a bad dish from that site.
