+1 I don't know how you keep up with what's in there.

Do you ever just do pantry surprise for supper ? Kind of like Chopped at home.

I probably asked this before. Is that American Sweetheart?

Yes - a pink American Sweetheart berry bowl on a small saucer. She has maybe a hundredfifty pieces - all pink, all American Sweetheart. Adds to the classy look of the Viennas and Saltines, doesn't it? Probably came in a box of oatmeal or something like that.

While the picture didn't make me hungry for Vienna sausage, it did give me envie for some depression glass.

It is a specific pattern of depression glass. back in the 1920s - 1940s they put it in Oatmeal and cereal boxes (products like that) as a give away for buying the product. Sometimes Gas stations would give a piece with a fillup, plus they would clean your windshield and check the oil - free.

Collecting Depressionware dishes is like collecting Matchbooks or Beaney Babies, except that what she has is worth maybe - at least $20.00!

I wrote you off last night with that mustard slaw hot dog chili yack fest but Vienna sausage has a sweet spot in my heart. 2 pieces of Evageline maid white bread, some mayo, ketchup and I'm in heaven. Fact: Vienna sausage would survive a zombie apocalypse!
