The food is meh but I've had decent chicken sandwiches, wraps, & salads there.

So the food is "meh" but you like half the menu?

Ahh, the ultimate sign that there's nothing else with which to argue in favor of a place: "the beer was cold." As if there are alternate restaurants and bars out there serving hot beer.

Stretching it just a bit to fit your argument are we? You left out the most important part. It was FRESH as well. The beer was exactly the way I like my beer. Cold and fresh. Yes, I have had warm stale beer at several other places in town. The fries were done well. They had a nice crunch and were not burnt or soggy. The cheese was melted perfectly. We all enjoyed ourselves. Good beer, good friends, good times. All I could ask for in an establishment.

When is the last time you ordered a beer at a restaurant and it wasnt cold?

I know of one or two that have not maintained their chilling system very well and the beer comes out on the warm side.

Like where?

I've been to a ton of restaurants in BR and can never remember being served a warm beer. I guess I'm an outlier

I've never been to Walk Ons, but that looks awful. Bacon is raw, tomato isn't ripe and the fries aren't golden enough for me. Bun looks to have some potential, though.

Great thread, Neauxla.

All that being said though, we only go there on gamedays. Its close to where I park and where I'll be carting drunks home from, after the game.

So, WalkOns is good because it has cold beer and some rando place (that I thought was in Denham?) had warm beer?

Let's face it.. beer is cold everywhere. And fresh? You ordered regular beer on draft. It's as fresh as anywhere, I imagine.

Not a knock on you.. just calling a place good because it has "cold beer" is silly.

Looks depressing.

I've only been to the one in BR. It was a long time ago. I ordered a double Beam. It came to me and had fruit flies in it. I sent it back. It came back to me twice with flies. I told the dumb bitch to change the bottle out.

Nothing on the menu looks worth my while.

I would have sent that sandwich back. I don't like raw bacon. It's not that hard to cook bacon strips crispy to add to a sandwich.
