i never understood the craze about this place. Overpriced drinks and the food is garbage.

one of the many reasons why i no longer go to that establishment.
Line 1 is the reason you should go to that establishment weekly.

I have never seen a "rocks" charge. Is this standard practice in most places?

And people bitch that Cane's is too expensive? Everything on that receipt is stupid. But hey, they charge it and people pay it. Good for them.

I know a few places in BR will add $1 for drinks on the rocks only because they add more liquor to top it off since there is no mixer.
Please identify said places.

Food cost on that order is probably around 10%. That is why that place makes so much money. Well that and booze.

I've never seen it, but I understand it in relation to a single pour (you just get a bit more to make it a nice drink). A double should be a sufficient pour to not need a rocks 'pour' or charge IMHO. I could understand a double 'neat' pour having an upcharge in the same vain though.

For Marissa or the cheese fries?
If Marissa, no thanks. I dated a walkons bartender before and she was a tramp. Yea, sexy as hell and it was great at the time, but there's no future in that.
If cheese fries, no thanks again. They're fries with shite piled on top. I can make home made cheese fries from fresh potatoes that will literally be so much better it wouldn't even be comparable.

I think that is kind of a ripoff for a bar to do. Just thinking logically, them adding an extra half ounce to make drink look more "more" is nice and all, but that was their decision, not mine.
Plus, the time/supplies that go into making a neat or rocks drink is less than say a Margarita, meaning in some ways a rocks order is already a better deal for the restaurant.

I disagree with almost everything Walk On's does, but apparently they keep doing well. Shows what I know
.
They are grossly over priced on almost everything and provide a mediocre product at best, with an under-trained staff at almost every level of their operation. But...they are killing it. So, can't argue with success.
$10 for cheese fries? Cheese fries...
Nola Blonde @ $6 seems terrible, but they are honestly one of the more expensive regularly carried kegs in the area, but it is more than most places in town...of course.
$15 for double crown and coke poured by a bartender that will probably give you less than 4 ozs.
$2 up-charge for sweet potato fries when your meal already came with regular fries.
Why anybody patronizes this place other than convenient for LSU sports is beyond me. They've been sticking it customers pretty good for the last couple of years. They started out with good happy hour & average prices.

yep, even though local, I try not to spend any money in their theme bar empire...

Is the Walk Ons near campus still packed all the time? I can see it during gamedays (with alum and their families) but not sure if the average college student is going to be a regular there with those high prices.

Too be fair the large cheese fry is pretty big. Maybe not $10 big but still. There is a smaller order.

Every time I pass on a Thursday night - Sunday it seems packed as frick.
So stupid. Terrible food, terrible service, huge prices. I'll go go Rotolos or pluckers if I'm in a pinch right there.

Are you really trying to justify $10 cheese fries?
Fat pats here in lafayette has one equal the size (with unlimited ranch) for $5.99.

I don't like being nickel and dimed, or feeling like I'm just being ripped off, and every time I get my bill during baseball season, I just have to shake my head.
I saw Leroy's is still open next door. Maybe I'll try that this year.
