While looking for Dutch ovens I stumbled upon a Vitamix 6500 for $299 at TJMaxx online. This model is an older model but has the same 2.2 horsepower as the 750. I’ve been wanting one forever, and at this price for this model I couldn’t pass it up. Went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they price matched. $250 off.

Vitamix

My parents have that model but with the taller pitcher

The one you linked would be the one I would buy if I was in the market for an obscene blender

I borrowed theirs for a while and it's great for making blended soups

That should fit under the cabinets being shorter huh? I need one but don’t want something huge on my counter.

Even at that price, I couldn't justify spending that much on a blender. A Ninja does a damn good job for a much lower price. Maybe if I were a professional cook or drank smoothies every day I'd check out a Vitamix.

I think that's the size that is designed precisely for that

I bought the individual smoothie cups and adapters for my VitaMix....as long as you don’t overload the cup, works pretty good. Enforced portion control bc you can only fit so much in it.

It fits right under. The container is a 64 oz. which is big. I think I’ll buy the 32oz container eventually.

It's worth every penny. Ours is about 6 years old now but still a champ in every usage.

What makes it worth $300 more than another blended?
