Anyone know why?
They announced closure on social media today.

This one was surprising. They stated in the comments that costa had risen and demand never rebounded after COVID. I always thought it was busy, but who knows.

Was a horrible location, great patio, food was ok but they have so many Tex-Mex options in Baton Rouge

Probably cutting dead weight as they try to open their new place in Lakeview.

While not a bad location, it’s away from the university. I always thought it was kill if it was located near the school - think at The Revelry. However, anytime I would go by, it always appeared crowded. That said, I never stopped to eat there.
Too many better options.

Food was not good even among other not so good tex mex places in town. It was not open for lunch IIRC, so it missed out on a bunch of business lunch business.

I forgot the place even exists. It's off the beaten path

Tom of comments about how the food is not good. Even talking up superiors food which shows how bad it must’ve been

They leased the spot where Elle J’s was. Working on a new “family friendly” restaurant called Outpost 45. Sounds like it’ll be an American Bistro type place.

Because their food was terrible, truly awful, borderline inedible, and I ain’t picky.

It always seemed busy from what I recall. Not far from Bocage.

Seems like a stupid name.

Apparently 45 is the bus line that services Lakeview or Harrison or something, idk. I agree though, not the best name.

The food was inconsistent and different, but great atmosphere and parking was tight. Definitely not my favorite place, but I wasn't mad going there.
Extremely busy intersection at the entrance didn't help.

The food was mostly meh but they had excellent Queso and the fried plantains were incredible.

Food wasn’t good…but the drinks and patio was great….Baton Rouge needs much more outside dining
