Actually Royal Brewery is just off of Downman Road by the Bunny Bread factory.
That's the truth. You are awarded the point.
However, is anyone really beating down the doors to get to Royal Brewery? Do they still only have one beer?

The owner seemed like he always had a bone to pick with everybody.

Including being a prick to the brewer from what I understand.

I enjoyed 40 arpent’s beer whenever I went back to the parish. What happened?

The owner was a prick
The brewer was a prick
None of them had a damn bit of financial or business sense
The only reason they had a tap room - and stayed open as long as they did - is because they won a large grant in an entrepreneur competition.
Their lack of ability to get bottles done, to have any real marketing, etc... was very frustrating... as some of their brews were really good.
Would be interesting if another brewer goes in that space. I think someone with the right sense can be successful.

I posted on the last page about a brewer going into that space.

Funny place. They had a neat little space and decent beer.

Honestly, I think the name is great! The logo is REALLY admirable. Whoever is their graphic design is really good. With appropriate branding, they'll be fine.
As far as the location, I'm hearing that it is going to have a taproom, some kind of museum/ tours. I think they are trying to develop that area with more stuff-- like "cultural" area. It'll be nice for customers because you don't have to compete for parking-- and this is something on par with a lot of breweries in other major cities not being located centrally.
If that whole Tipitina water park comes through one day, then you've got that too.

Let's not forget that ALL parts of New Orleans are extremely segmented. First, you have the location all wrong. But either way, you've got nice neighborhoods nearby as well as bad ones. It depends on what block you are on. This is also true for uptown, Gentilly, etc. With this located being a little bit isolated that also helps.

Hello Mr. Cajun Fire Brewing. Care to tell us what kind of beer you be offering initially?

Swamp tours?

People were getting robbed by teenagers with guns when Jazzland was open in that very same parking lot

Probably on the St Claude/St Bernard. That area is crawling with hipsters, there are a half dozen "art" studios.

1. That is at least 8 miles away from JazzLandCajunFireSixFlagsofDaEast.
2. Part of that development is open - had some cocktails out there in the fall and they had a live band. It was legit. Sadly, a water park is no longer in the design (sarcasm), but I'm jacked for an amphitheater.

Dumb name that screams tourist. Hope they’re successful, but the name is unconnected to anything: location, product, ownership, etc. If three gringos founded a brewery called Chinese Fire, would anyone think it a good idea?

For their new round of grants.
And because it apparently bugs you.
