I don’t really know how many F&DB cooking challenge participants have been affected by Hurricane Ida, but maybe we should delay? Are you in touch with any of the usual suspects to know if they’re out of power and/or water or have relocated or sought shelter away from home? What say you?

I know HC86 and I have already cooked ours... but I agree it might make sense to push it back a week or two considering the board is mostly S. Louisiana folks.

I heard the hurricane stressed out the dairy cow that Holygrale bought and he was having a hard time getting it to produce the right curds for his homemade gorgonzola. May want to defer a week until he can acquire another bovine, or else he’ll have to settle for a Stilton

I was just cutting the cheese for my dish today. Will wait for another day to cut some more cheese.

It is possible I can make mine, but I would definitely understand and welcome if it was pushed back.

I haven’t participated in them. But as someone who was popped from Ida. I would enjoy reading the thread at the end of my day.

Push it back, Darla. We can still cook it whenever, but the extra week could help those who need it.

So much for my knowledge of other posters. I figured he was going with a nanny goat to get that whang in his curds.

Less entries is the only way I have a chance to get votes in the mix of all you great chefs!
But, I agree pushing it back may help some folks out who want to participate. Hope everyone is safe!

No worries, Velveeta keeps well.

How did you know that was my entry.

Moving it is fine I think. I was not affected directly being in Laffy but we do have people staying with us and have another office location down there to deal with. I was cooking mine this weekend and I may still.

Only if you think whang is undesirable...
By the way, not sure if that is really a word. Does anyone know?
