No comment on the rest of your list; however, a central grocery muffaletta with a Barqs root beer in a bottle has been my favorite meal since I was 3 years old.
Oddly enough, the only other time I imbibe any carbonated drink is with a poboy at domileses

Friend,
I have eaten over a thousand sandwiches in my life and none is as close to the greatness of a Central Grocery muffuletta. For those saying that there are better muffulettas in New Orleans, I haven't found such a one, and I've eaten a muffuletta in over 30 locations.
A picture never does it justice, as it makes the bread look like it is a bigger part of the sandwich than the reality. When I look at that picture and see that outer paper with that secondary plastic deli wrap that tries to stick to the sandwich's oily innards it makes me salivate. One of the best sounds in the world is the light hum of that plastic wrap meeting your fingers, like 400 grit sandpaper rubbing nearly smooth wood, when you first undress its outer garment. You know at that moment ecstasy is moments away.
Every bite of a Central Grocery muffuletta is a foretaste of the heavenly banquet. But my favorite bites are those along the outer rim of the sandwich, where the bread has dried ever so slightly, giving a hint of toasting, the sesame seeds are ample, and the cheese has both moist and hardened characteristics, as though it were a blend of Parmesan and provolone cheeses.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

I actually like Frank's muffaletta more than Central Grocery, but ONLY if they make it fresh. Don't like pre-made muffalettas. You have to ask them to make you one fresh.
Anthony's Italian Deli in BR has some fine sandwiches, including muffs, Italian Lover, and meatball po-boy and pepperoni pizza po-boy.
Katz Deli - ever try the pastrami or beef tongue? The BEST.

Friend,
Some of those look good. Most do not. In fact those pics are just advertisement pics and the sammiches never ook like those pictured. Me thinks you ain't ate most of them. Your friend is Subway. You can find them open in this infected environment.
Always

Have you never tried the smoked PB&J you can sometimes find at Whole Foods?

This list is sorely missing a Blue Oak Tuesday chicken sandwich

Muffuletta must be a local taste thing. I don’t get the hype at all.

I hate olives. Find them disgusting, so that sandwich is never an option for me.

Friend,
I have tried numerous Italian beef sandwiches in Chicago. Yes, Portillo's is the best, by a good margin. Sweet peppers, dipped for me.

It is a very local thing. Good authentic olive salad and fresh Italian bread are key.

No “Best” from Ingas? List is shite.

Dear List Master,
#10 is not a sammich. Sammiches are ingredients between two slices of bread.
Sincerely,

I'm good with olive salad, but I'm not a big bread guys, and those sandwiches are bread forward for sure.
Don't get me wrong, I'd eat it and enjoy it. It's just not something I'd ever crave or put on my list.

Tell them to remove the olives, add red sauce and banana peppers and toast.

Friend,
Please contact me by telephone at the house the next time you are in Whole Foods and they are serving this dish or their world famous smoked hamburger, "the best hamburger in New Orleans," as proclaimed by The Food Board.
Thank you, dear friend. I will call them to see if they deliver to New Orleans.
Friend, is this the sandwich shop near the north gates of LSU? I was at LSU but a semester, and I tried this eatery once on the recommendation of a professor. It was a good sandwich, but not close to top 10 in the nation. Wouldn't be top 100 either.
Yours,
TulaneLSU
