Tujague's vs. Brennan's Steak house (bachelor party)

I've been to bachelor dinners at both and can't make up my mind.
I wouldn't mind other suggestions, but the groom likes both of these places.

Get the private room on the 2nd floor with the balcony over Decatur. The food is not the best but they do bachelor parties well.

My last meal at Tujague's was awful. All of 4 of us were disappointed. The balcony room would be awfully fun, though. I also like Muriel's balcony over Jackson Square.

I'd say Tujague's, because it was my wife's great grandmother's place in the early 1900's.
Lots of history there. Where brunch became polular in New Orleans, btw.

And as you know, it belong to a friend of mine's family before that.
I was already leaning Tujague's, but now it's a green light.

I thought they had it after Madame B had it. 
When imgur starts working, I've got some stuff Max gave us. Pretty cool little history lesson about the market, and restaurant around the time they owned it (1894).

That's really great, thanks for sharing! I would also like to recommend Tujaque's to the OP. We rented out the second floor/balcony for my mom's 50th birthday party and hired a jazz band to play up there. It was a lot of fun!

I remember having to go rescue a couple of my clients there one night. It was sort of awkward waiting for them to pick up all of their $1's while convincing the partiers they really had to let them go.

We were seated in a small room toward the back which looked like it should have been a private room. It had zero personality. There was a huge table of people when we arrived. I don't know why we weren't seated in the main dining room since it wasn't crowded. We were looking forward to the meal there, but it was a bad experience all around.
