The Cadillac Waygu at grub burger is pretty damn good. I take it without lettuce and tomato.

what's so special about Judice inn? everyone from laffy praises this place, but pictures i've seen look like your typical hole-in-the-wall/gas station food stand burger

When twins was Southside Bakery, that was The GOAT. Its not quite as good now. They used the same base recipe but instead of one big burger it is two smaller burgers to go with the twins theme. Its not quite the same.

I love Morvant's and Tons when i just want a fat greasy burger. Judice inn doesn't do anything for me. Been meaning to try out Burger Tyme, just havent gotten around to it.

You can always go to a fancy chain restaurant with 10 TV's if that makes you think the food is good. Judice Inn is a great little local spot that always delivers. People love it and others hate on it b/c they don't have wagyu and truffle oil, or fries. They don't need them, when you go to Judice Inn the burger speaks for itself. I like a lot of other places too, but when you want Judice Inn there is nothing better.

I’d rather have Zapps Crawtators than fries with my burger or sandwich any day of the week.

There ain't a damn thing wrong with a Judice Inn burger.

People act like all burgers are equal. Sometimes I want a big fancy gourmet burger with waygu and truffle oil and whatever. Sometimes I just want a thin, double-patty, cheesey grease-bomb.

The word "hamburger" is almost too broad of a definition.

In 2017 I went to a very beautiful wedding at the Cathedral in Laffy 800 people to witness a most beautiful bride and groom..1 pm wedding...reception at the Alumni Center of UL...weather was picture perfect...reception spared no expense on food and beverage..band played and we danced and cut up ...about 7 the food was gone but not the bartenders...dam getting a lil drunk and kinda hungry...low and behold the bride's dad had 200 Judice Inn hamburgers/cheesbugers delivered to reception with assortment of chips...now that was a great burger ...

I'm not going to say that this is one of the absolute best burgers in town, but don't sleep on the burger from Alesi's. Its thick and dense, probably premade, but tastes delicious.

The best for me is Judice Inn. Just simply hard to knock that off when its covered in the sauce and grilled onions. Add a bag of cheetos and a soft drink in the styrofoam cup and crushed ice and you are near perfection.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, we went to Petes 2.0 recently and I was extremely disappointed.

Maxx's maybe

Maxx's is amazing. Definitely the real deal. Back in the day you couldn't go in without your clothes and the to go bag smelling like your grandmother's ashtray, though.

Haven't been in a while however.

Is anyone making this burger anywhere? It was my favorite.

Twin’s is the closest you will get. The Father had opened another southside bakery after the split. But he passed away a while back and it was closed.

Not many people know this, but around thanks giving and Christmas , twins makes some of the best rolls you can get. Perfect for dinner or for making sliders.

I consider the top 4 of Twins, Social, Morvants and Fat Pats very close...

Morvants - This was the best patty to date. Flavor, tenderness, sear were all there. Unfortunately it was just a store bought cold bun, this was the only thing holding the burger back

Fat Pats - Excellent - Best Bun, well seasoned and sized patty, very good Fat Pat Sauce (this can be hit or miss as I've had meh burgers, but during our official ranking trip it was great)

Social - Social Cheeseburger - good thickness angus patty, white cheddar, creamy creole mustard, Poupart's brioche bun, bread and butter pickles. Very good all around, more of a craft/gourmet burger than the others mentioned

Twins - Twin thin patties, I thought I wouldn't like this, but it was really good. Bread was fresh and excellent. This one surprised me with how good it is.

T'Coons - T'Coon Burger - Toasted homemade bun, american cheese, cole slaw, mustard, mayo. Cole slaw instead of lettuce was interesting. The patty was thick and well seasoned. Bun was solid and fresh

Other good burgers - spoonbill (Martins potato roll bun was interesting), rusted rooster, Max's, Judice Inn (I'll always enjoy a J inn burger, but it's not for everyone)

Based on your list you do like a seasoned patty. I am at the very opposite end of the spectrum than you. Salt and pepper only and more thin than thick patty, please. I despise every burger you listed.

To each his own. Maybe the old ground pati for you? I found that burger to be very bland
