If we are being completely honest, thinking about would I rather have a fresh slice of Blaze pizza or Pizza Delicious, I’d say right now, Blaze.
Now pizza delicious makes a good pie. But the level of acclaim it has garnered no where near matches its product, which isn’t any better than Sbarros was 20 years ago (Sbarros quality has declined rapidly this decade). I hold fast to the notion that if it were in a non hip neighborhood owned by locals it wouldn’t be on anyone’s radar.
I’m not a big fan of ROs pizza. It’s okay, reminiscent of Chuck E. Cheese pizza but with not as good a red sauce.

Where does the Taco Bell Mexican Pizza fall on your list?

The Pizza Hut Taco pizza of the late '70's was Nirvana.

I would put Homegrown in the top ten, perhaps 5th.

Reginellis isn’t thaaat bad. Seems like every time I walk by the Magazine and State St. Location there’s a crowd. The wife and I probably eat there twice a month since we can sit outside with the dog.
As for OP, lol no Pizza Dominca love. I hope you never travel to Italy because you’ll be disappointed.

Why don't people like blaze? They don't use air impinger ovens or simple stone ovens they use a real fired pizza oven. The crust is good, the sauce and toppings you pick.
I get we'll never have good slices here and upside down or grandma's pizza will never happen here. Blaze puts out a decent pie.

Probably because it's a chain. I've eaten at them in other cities but not NOLA. To me, it's meh.

In Westwego? That's pretty good pizza as is McLeans in Mandeville. I mean, pizza is pretty much pedestrian food when you get down to it. For me, the Old Luigis on Elysian Fields by UNO was hard to beat.
Hell, Mitch Rotolo used to make a pretty mean bar pie before he got big. That original stand by The Boot was good eating.

Oh, Lordy...the OG Rotolo's, sitting on those splintery picnic table benches while scarfing a pepperoni slice on a doubled up white paper plate. Hadn't thought of that in years. It briefly returned to decent pizza in the Jeff/Dough Bowl days, but it's beyond dreadful again.

I used to eat at the pizza place next to the Boot as a kid back in the mid 90s. I loved it. I thought it was called Dino’s though.
Rotolos is okay. I saw where his son won Pizza Today young entrepreneur of the year for 2019. Good for him. Btw, you can get a free subscription to that magazine here:

Boot Pizza (Broadway Pizza) not the same what it use to be. I soberly grabbed a slice a few Saturday’s who after a Tulane game—yack! It tasted like a Kraft kit pizza.

What pizza in your top 10 weighs the most?

way back in the day that place was midway pizza and it was terrible but cheap

Arguably the best pizza in Chicago.

Was it deep dish pizza back when? There’s a Midway pizza on Freret St. that does a pretty good deep dish pie—I think the owner is a Chicago transplant that went to Tulane.

Why didn’t midway make the top 20 and one particular dominos did? What about the boot pizza? List is shite.

Top 10 NOLA pizzas 2011
Midway’s pizza is not good, sorry. I had it again 2-3 years ago and confirmed my opinion from 2011. Funny how most reviews are consistent. My opinion of R&O has changed, clearly. Also went 180 on dominos and papa Johns, but that was before I had the new dominos recipe. Other than that pretty steady.
Thank you for reading.

different midway
this was back in the 80’s...when you could get a book of temporary checks from Whitney bank with no name on them, scrape off part of the account number and use them to order pizza at the dorm
they quit delivering to Loyola after a while
