I gave up on tomatoes. Kept getting the rot on them.

I stick with the tried and true bug resistant varieties that the old-timers tell me about like big beef, celebrity, better boy. I have tried Cherokee purples, creoles and other heirloom varieties and they just attract bugs and disease. I gave up and just accept it.

This year I have not sprayed one time for any bug or disease. I have been fighting for 10 years with tomatoes.

I killed it on better boys and goliaths this year. I’m working on my third set with the goliaths, but with the heat, not sure I’ll get any more.
