TJ Ribs on Siegen sells building - to close?

Daily Report
The sale of TJ Ribs’ location on Siegen Lane could close as early as today, confirms owner Burke Moran.
He says the restaurant has a six-month lease after the deal closes and that he is not aware of any plans to shut the location. But Moran was not able to share the identity of the buyer or confirm their long-term plans for the location.
Moran says his Montana-based company, Finally Restaurant Group, will continue to own and operate the original location on Acadian Thruway, which his father, Thomas “TJ” Moran, founded in 1988.
Moran says this isn’t the first offer he has received for the Siegen Lane property, but called the current proposal “too good to pass up.” After suffering a leg injury last year that left him unable to walk for five months, Moran says he has reassessed his approach to life, family and business, which played a part in his decision to sell the Siegen location.
Not aware of any plans to shut the location? No idea on long term plans for building? C'mon, man.

Work brought us there to eat about a month ago. It was depressing

Just a wild arse guess, LWCC may have bought the property since they’re investing in lots of real estate in that area

I also did for work. It wasn’t THAT bad. I went in expecting bad bad, but I was surprised. I think I just got a bunch of wings and they were fine. Not the best I’ve ever had, but fine. Sides were ok.

Got the wings last weekend at the one on Acadian; still excellent.

How do you screw up a burger?
Not calling you out. Just speaking in generalities.
Also, how did they do it?

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and it was the most bland salad I’ve ver had. Chicken was dry and no flavor at all. Buddy ordered a Bloody Mary and the bartender never made it. She took the order chatted with someone at the other end of the bar then disappeared for a while. Came back and chatted with other people then checked on us.
We could have asked for the drink but at that point we were done eating and wanted to leave.

Businesses sell land and continue to rent. That is not a new concept. The current owners might realize the decreasing property value in that area of the city.

Depends on what is remaining of lease and what new owners gonna charge them

Wasn't that the Smokey Bones location before Ribs?
One attribute about that Ribs location was it was the only place in the city that featured the NHL package for the few hockey fans that lived in BR.
The sirloin baseball cut and the beef ribs were decent.

quote:True, but Moran says he is not going to operate the Siegen location any longer. If he is going to sell them this location as a franchise then why not just say that instead of the vague "not sure" response?
