Beauxnes knows how to run a restaurant. You have a problem, let him know. He will fix it and he appreciates the criticism. My recent meal there was right on target.

Yeah Sunday afternoons are good there. No reservations. It's casual.

He's not kidding about this. If you see something wrong he wants to know about it so he can fix it. I worked for him back in college at another restaurant and he knows how to properly run a place.

Go and get a steak. They're good. Get the caprese salad, also.

I love TJ ribs as much as anyone. To say they're better than BBQ in Austin Texas is not really being honest. Might score some local style points but come on.

I don't know how long you have been managing at TJ's but I had a run in with them like in 2004. I called and asked about wait times and whether or not I should make a reservation or not. the person answering the phone told me that there was no wait, I could walk right in. I picked up my mom, sister, and her son, who was a toddler at the time, and drove over. As soon as I got in, I was advised that there was an hour and a half wait time. I advised that I had just called and was told there was no wait. someone identifying himself as a manager came up, and with a condescending tone, told me that "If I wanted to eat there, I would have to wait an hour and a half, no matter what I was told on the phone" ( I was not trying to skip to the front of the line or anything, just letting them know it was really inconvenient to go somewhere like that with a toddler. Based on the tone and attitude, I told him I would never be back, and kept that promise, along with turning several people away during that time period.

I'm still not trying to get anything, just wanting to let you know to tell your staff that those stories do get out, and they do get around, and although they may not close you down, it does have a very real effect on your business. I'm glad to see you here taking care of this on the front end. maybe my opinion of the restaurant would be different if I had been given that respect back then.

I've found that take-out at most dine-in restaurants is a disappointment.

Wow man. If you haven't gotten over it by now, therapy might be the best option.
