Graeter’s is also in the conversation

I think they are by themselves at the moment. Just impossible to find down here. Graeter's is fantastic.

MidgeSquad, Albertson's in BR carries their ice cream and cheeses, but not their ice cream sandwiches.

I like Tillamook, but something about their vanilla ice cream is off

Yeah, I’ve only ever had their strawberry cream cheese. It is phenomenal though.

Graeter’s out of Cincinnati is elite no doubt. Jeni’s up the road in Columbus is the other big dawg. They both have major regional distribution, which helps.

I’ve lived all over the US. Ice cream is culturally most primary in upper New England. Midwest right behind.

New Orleans is so good food-wise ice cream never seemed to be as big a thing (I gotta think weather is a factor - making ice cream pre ac era!?)

That said, Creole creamery I lived by for years and personally preferred that to the Graeter’s I lived by in Cincy. More range.

Jeni’s is very good as well. Their blackout chocolate cake is great. I just wish their cookies and cream was better. Had a weird taste to me. I’m a sucker for a good cookies and cream. That is one flavor I do think blue bell has the market on currently as far as “common” flavors.

High fructose corn syrup is the worst thing that you can eat….blue bell has a very high level….that is why it’s so addictive and so bad for you…..

I like Tillamook & Blue Bell

The surprising one is Winn Dixie’s prestige ice cream - made with real sugar and it’s decent, especially for the price

I think Jeni’s blackout chocolate cake blows this one out of the water.

I have a friend who's son who started working for Tilamook a few years ago. He says his son already came up with a new flavor of ice cream that either is just into production, or soon will be. I need to ask him about some specifics.

This isn’t the board for sophomoric political responses. Go to the political talk forum for such reprehensible and ridiculous statements.

while I would agree on most of Tillamooks ice cream flavors are better than Bluebell flavors...

Bluebell still has the GOAT homemade vanilla. Its not close in my house.

side note: the black cherry tillamook ice cream is amazing.
