Let's maybe ease up on the language here a little bit. Great means something. It's not "greatness." It's better than last year, but it's not some world class beer.

If you like Parade Grounds, try Parish Reve coffee stout. Brewniverse had it on tap this weekend for growler fills, and I had my first try. Very good beer.

I had a Voodoo Bengal the other day. It tasted like a solid American Pale Ale.

there are alot of better coffee porters out there. parade ground was pretty good the first year or 2, then last year it was awful. i've had 1 this year and it just didnt do it for me. way too thin and the coffee is really bitter

How many breweries in this state weren't started by homebrewers with no experience? 2 or 3??
The owners of Tin Roof attempted to hire a brew master with production brewery experience twice and got burned, twice.
Hopefully third time is a charm for those guys.

They use a cold brew concentrate instead of beans. That's what he means.
This year's version is much better than last year's. I still think they need to use real beans instead of the concentrate. It has a mocha flavor that's more chocolate than coffee to me. Still enjoyable, and I'm happy to drink this year's. I didn't buy any of last year's after the initial 6-pack.

I know... the beer is still pretty bitter. Whether it's from the chocolate or the coffee, i dont care for it much

Maybe i should have said, "2 college homebrewers, with no experience, werent going to have a successful mass production brewery the day they opened their doors".
