im short on ingredients and the wife refuses to go to the store until Saturday. working with limited supplies right now

debating between using some allegro marinade and grilling, or breaking open some chipotle stuff she bought two months ago.

anyone else have any ideas besides just salt, pepper and pan frying?

You could do a pork piccata.

Can you not go to the store either?

I was coming to post a pork picatta!!

I like making a rice and gravy with thin cut chops. Just season well and brown the frick out of them. Toss in some chopped onion, a little bell pepper and garlic. Stir and scrape all the brown drippings from the bottom of the pan( if you do it right the entire pan bottom will be coated) pour in some water or stock, lower heat and let simmer until fork tender.

I like them pan fried in breadcrumbs with a pan sauce.

Just remove after frying, add garlic and onion/shallot, cook a bit, toss in some capers, deglaze with broth or wine, reduce, maybe top with herbs or lemon squeeze.

We need more southern black cooking influence in this thread. Too much northern white influence up in here. Pan fry it, smother and make gravy or grill it with some BBQ sauce. These are your only choices.

marinade then hit them with a dry rub and indirect grill them over smokey medium heat fire. Really good next day cold as well.

Asian marinade or just A1 steak sauce which is a great marinade for them.

Mix some onion soup and raw rice with onions peppers celery spices in a casserole and lay those thin chops in the dish with some chicken stock. Bake in the oven at about 375 until the rice is done. Its real fine.
