The update of the Columns is very nice.

It’s pretty subtle but they expanded the outdoor area, added a ton of topical plants. They have a 1950s Cuba thing going with the feel and music.
The cocktails and wine list is short but nice.
The interior is not finished being renovated but I was told it would be soon. Very enjoyable outdoor area.

They have food so it’s a “restaurant”.

I believe the same people who opened the drifter hotel bought the columns. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of clientele will bring in. I have a few friends who were bartenders before the sale and they are not going back when they re-open.

Oh wow. That really could go either way. Hopefully it’s more of the nice-trendy type of hip vs. what The Drifter considers hip
