After you referred to it as a shitty marketing ploy, he turned around and actually asked what was wrong with it ...

Sorry I have a different opinion than you.

ugAC, you should go back and look at the comments on the first page of this thread.

I did. And I just reread them. What is racist about anything in the 1st page?

I don't need to discuss anything with him. I already made myself familiar with his views via his comments on other boards, as I've done with others. I don't just jump to conclusions and throw out the race card. I know that's a huge problem in our country today, but I don't do that.

I'm also not implying that the entire TD is racist. That would be silly ... just as silly as saying that there aren't any racist posters on TD at all.

I don't think anyone has ever claimed that.

I'll have to think a bit about where I saw it, but Jack Daniels success is directly attributed to Sinatra. I saw a documentary that more or less made JD to be boutique and then Sinatra started drinking it like crazy. Next thing they know, they have orders out the arse for it and could not produce enough for a while.

Just as silly as saying everyone on TD is a racist ... which I did not say.

Interesting. I'm a big Sinatra fan, and maybe at that time JD was one of the more smoother high quality whiskers, maybe not. To each their own, I'll stick with buffalo trace distillery. Nearly everything they make is excellent, IMO.
