Great food, love the place but they have to address the bug(gnat?) problem before I eat there again.

Yes! The last two times I went in there, I had 2 or 3 flies swarming me the entire time.
I mentioned it to Gugich but he had some lame excuse!
To me there is no excuse for this problem.

After Gustav, those little bastards were everywhere. George, hit me up when you've got a min, Roger at Southern Janitorial has this time released spray that will kill every flying insect (fruit fly, fly, moquito) in your place in under 24 hours. It's rediculously cheap, effective, and a no brainer.
I had the cup and half tonight, was the bomb as usual. Keep up the good work! The place was packed, with a line out the door.
My only complaint, George, that Big square table has got to go!!! Only thing it would be good for is a stripper pole and some girls. That thing is about as big as an aircraft carrier !

The problem was from the line out the door holding it open. Even the flies want that yummy cup and a half.
Seriously, cut him some slack. He works his arse off daily and nightly, while attending school. It's not easy keeping everyone happy, and he's on top of fixing the problem asap, I assure you.

I guess people always have to find something negative to talk about. This place has great food and you feel the need to get on here and talk about a knat?

Not a gnat, at leat 25 at my table. Took a customer there last week and did not help much with a good flow in the sales pitch. I admit the food is always top notch, but part of dining out is a relaxing, enjoyable time. Usally bugs landing on my plate and flying in my face tend to decrease the chances of that.

I have given Dempsey's lots of props on here for their delicious food.
I mentioned the fly problem last summer and Gugich's response was that the building wasn't theirs.
I guess that means the landlord doesn't allow exterminators?
Sounds like he is on top of fixing the problem to me.
I guess as long as there is a line of people waiting to get in, they don't need to worry about those insects.

i can assure you that i did not say this.
and if you think eating there with the knats flying around is bad, try working there and knowing the problem exists...it's not a good feeling walking around looking at people swatting bugs away from their face inside of a restaurant...
we have tried countless numbers of things, as well as hiring several exterminators, yet nothing seems to do the trick. we just recently removed all the plants in there, which seems to be the source of the problem...we hired a company to come in and install/upkeep the plants but they failed to do so...
hopefully removing the plants will do the trick, but if it doesn't, we're not going to stop trying to solve the problem...
as annoying as it is to you, it's even more embarrassing for us
but thank you for pointing this out on a public forum even though it's an obvious problem! i'm sure it looks great to people who have never been there!
