Have eaten there a few times so far. Overall I love the food, but I do have two complaints (existing Londoner thread has been anchored).

1. The prices are high for the portions.
2. The music was a bit annoying.

I've tried the Shepherd's pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash, plus a few appetizers and desserts while eating with friends.

Opening week, the bangers and mash was two large sausages with a nice helping of mashed potatoes, topped with red onion gravy. Recommended it to a friend the following week, and got sausages almost half as big, with a lot less mashed potatoes. I was slightly embarrassed because it was noticeably less food than before, certainly not enough to get someone full. The shepherd's pie is money, but it's in one of those little bowls with a handle that you see at buffets. So nice selection, but a little pricey.

Every waitress I had was inept. Easily distracted, and fairly unfamiliar with what they were serving.

Why the popcorn?

From what I read in the other thread, the music has improved since my last meal there. But it looks like I'm not alone on the portions and service complaints. Rag's complaint about a second trip for bangers and mash seems almost identical to mine.

Personally, my portions were fine since I got the burger and it's pretty hard to change the portions of something like that.

But I can definitely agree on the service.

Afreaux, I did brunch with a friend yesterday .. We did an app .. I had the shepard's pie -- which was excellent -- she had the full monty, which she enjoyed .. we had drinks too and we were over $100 with tip .. just bit steep IMO .. the place has a great atmosphere .. good food and cold beer .. but it is expensive ..

We ate there last Friday night and I did not think it was expensive and I thought the portions were fine (but I am woman and don’t eat as much as the men folk do). I had the fish and chips and hubby had the rueben. We both thought fish was good but the rueben was a tad dry. Our son just had the chips and salsa since he just wanted to nibble. The salsa was sweet with a slight after bite. We split a beer pitcher of beer. I rather see the beer prices drop a little. Our bill was less than $50. Afterwards we went upstairs to the cupcake place, the lady behind the counter said it was owned by the same owners as the Londoner. We got 2 carrot cakes to go and they tasted completely different. One tasted like chemicals, the other was delicious.

Went there for brunch today

Had the corned beef and hash and coffee

Twas very good.

Had a bloody Mary with stoli after, and that was good too.

21 bucks was my total..

5th time I've been there. Love the place.
Had the rat pack channel on today and it was great music for the atomosphere.

Went there for brunch today, and had a really good meal...tomato soup and salmon, spinach & cream cheese omelet. Place is pricey, but I'm willing to pay a little extra for quality. Rat Pack music was great, switched to alternative right before I left. Been three times...twice, service was awesome, once it was slow as hell. If you want good service, sit in Anne's section.

Last time we had a ditzy waitress who forgot we even put in an appetizer order 10 minutes before we chose entrees. We had to remind her, and got it about the same time as our food

So have they expanded their cider selection yet? Last time I went they only had pear, which was pretty damn good.

I had a strongbow when I went on opening day. Great stuff!!

My favorite, however, is "Hot Dicken's" cider.
