You don’t have anything better to do than listen to that slapdick?
When I'm not working, I have a radio earbud shoved in my ear about from the time I wake up to till 6pm. I'm quite active doing a multitude of tasks during those hours. I tilled and rowed my garden yesterday while listening to After Further Review.

Jay and Chuck P. will cover the food and drink scene but will also discuss relevant topics that will strengthen the community
?? WTH are “topics that strengthen the community?” Marketing double speak. If you’re discussing social issues as they intersect w food, say that. I’m not sure that two dudes chatting on the radio about whatever is a form that “strengthens the community”. Grandiose ambitions, n’est-ce pas?

Ducote is a super-nice guy and has worked incredibly hard for more than a decade

A Jay Ducote thread is guaranteed to bring out the salty haters. Can't knock the guy for his hustle or the fact that he's a good ambassador for the Baton Rouge food scene.

I think it is just jealousy. Jay is good at what he does and he is a nice guy.

Salty mofos in here need to make their own radio show or shut up. He's doing what he loves and people shite on him for it. Sad

Agreed, I haven't heard his show yet, but he's got a contract with the Guaranty Broadcasting folks. He'll develop what he wants to do or Guaranty will tinker with it until they get something that works.

I'm in love with Jay's hot arse sister in law.
Didn't Scona & Jay do some kinda show together? Jay needs a different time slot.

Jay did a weekly tailgate segment on Matt's show with him, I think just during the fall though and not year round.
He might still do it, not really sure.

I wouldn’t say we were struggling. It’ll take a while to find our footing but eventually we’ll get there. Rome wasn’t built in a day or so they tell me.

Four days in, it sounds like Bite and Booze daily edition.

As suggested on the show, expect clips from the weekly show to make the Bite and Booze content for the weekend. Since, for the last several months, the B&B show has mainly consisted of reruns repeated weekly, the weekend should have a big improvement with 'best of.'

Y'all should look into inviting Jim Everett on. Rome's radio show really took off after that.
