Agree, it is definitely a great time to be a beer drinker. Just finished a couple of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ales. Will sleep good tonight.

US beers now have better favors than important beers.

London is a wasteland of craft beer from what I've seen while aimlessly wondering the city for the last 8 hours. It is a Sunday and a few promising places were closed, but today makes me love just about any US city from the perspective of availability of good craft brews, and I absolutely love London in general.
And it went from 80 and sunny to drizzly and 55 in a matter of minutes. Thanks, King George.

Domestic travel for work is cool, but man overseas and solo is less fun these days. A little depressing actually. I could use the wife for a little get up and go enthusiasm. Don't tell her.

There is a lot of craft beer there. I was just in Eastern Europe (Latvia and Lithuania) and Craft Beer is booming there too. A lot of the good ones will be out of the city center in places like Islington and Clerkenwell. Here is a good one in Covent Gardens that looks to be open Craft Beer Co

That's probably the problem. I'm in the business district and have no plans, at least today, of leaving it.
I was in SF and Seattle last week. I can do without world class beer for a few days.

I'm not, but I've added a bunch of qualifiers to that statement since I made it. I didn't find shite today. Going to try the draft house on seething tomorrow if they are open (website says they were today but they were not).
Relatively, though, it's insane that I can't stumble into an amazing craft beer bar in London on a Sunday when I coukd if I was in Houston, Austin, Dallas, Nola, Tuscaloosa, Nashville, Tampa, Seattle, SF, Irvine CA, or any other number of cities I've traveled to in the last few months.

I'll be more human and alert tomorrow, so if you have any suggestions within a reasonable distance from the tower hill stop, I'm genuinely interested. I wanted to walk only today, so I stayed within a square mile of the doubletree ToL.
I was here a few years ago and found decent beers, but there was still just so much lager and German pils.
