Best calorie to cost is CiCi's, and there is no argument against this anywhere in the continental United States, and quite possibly, the entire globe.

Which is it? Best pizza? Best New Orleans style Pizza? Best calorie to cost ration?

Just his typical self-aggrandizing b.s. I don't believe I've ever called out a poster before his utter nonsense started to hit the F&D Board.
As Buddy D used to describe the squirrels (of which I bet he was a charter member): "I bet his momma didn't give him any toys to play with as a a kid."

My computations are a highly guarded secret, but there is a science to it. Some of the factors in the equation are taste, quality of toppings, crust texture, cheese-to-sauce ratio, calorie-to-cost ratio, and fidelity to intended genre.

The places I rated as top three in taste, are Nino's, Brooklyn, and CC Pie and Sausage Co. All three have opened recently.

I was served Papa John's at a social function.

Please- go play somewhere else. This used to
be one of the few boards on this site that was
relatively troll free. I hope that day returns soon.

Pizza has historically been an area of poverty on the NOLA dining scene. Chains have long dominated the scene, and only in the last five or so years have we made inroads.

Half of your top 10 are local joints that have been around for at least 10 years -- a couple of those for much longer than that.

I find local pizza joints in New Orleans are rather underrated. I think the fault lies in the fact that there's more than a couple of really crappy prominent examples. You correctly point those out later.

Sadly the worst pizza I have ever had was at Domenica. I think they just left it out too long waiting for other's entrees but it was barely warm and soggy. I couldn't even eat it and that is saying a lot.
