I hope it all works out for you and that your family member heals up.

As was suggested by some, go with other food if necessary and have a belated Thanksgiving meal another time.

It may be too late for them but I saw today Bellue’s thanksgiving for 12-15 people was $99. Smoked or fried turkey, cornbread dressing, and three 1.5qt sized sides.

Wow. What a generous offer. I am truly humbled. Thank you for the offer.

And thanks for all the responses and suggestions in the thread. And the (metaphorical) slap in the face to bring me back to reality. After thinking about it and discussing it, truth is we realized nobody really cares about the traditional meal. There’s honestly nothing we crave and will truly miss. We will enjoy a good meal of something we really enjoy, tradition be damned (at least for this year). And we will focus on the thanks part this year maybe more than most years.

Hug your loved ones and enjoy the time with them this week. Even the ones that drive you insane. You never know when it will be the last holiday you get to spend with someone you love.

Buy a fresh turkey versus a frozen one. They cost more per pound, but every store I’ve been in the last two weeks have had fresh turkeys.

ETA: did not see your last post, was responding to the original.

Cowboy Chicken on Siegen sells rotisserie turkeys that I'd imagine are good because their rotisserie chicken is very good
