Can't say specifically, but it was probably something at a hunting camp.

yeah, you´re right. I´m trying to be helpful and informative, but in retrospect, it does look pretty bad in black and white at times.

I´ll try to tone it down.

As for the Syrian crustacean in question, haven´t found a pic (did post one a month back or so, but these were the smaller versions).

It's obvious you are a great chef and well traveled but I think you know what I meant (the obscurity of your posts sometimes requires research just to understand what the heck you're talking about!) Just tell us in a way we can understand haha.

Not quite sure what you call it,

I was at a camp in the basin and had some "debris" rice and gravy. Deer heart, liver, kidney all cut up and cooked down with some breakfast sausage, trinity. Holy shite I think that was the best rice and gravy I've ever had.

I had a 'special' one time trying to see what the fuss was all about. While being good, it wasnt the best po/sammich hybrid I've ever had. And then the woman serving it had such a Texas twang, I had to axx her to repeat just about everything she said.

Santaguiños

Those bad boys in front.

The Syrian ones were as big as chipmunks on steroids.

Speaking of Spain I had an excellent paella experience in Barcelona too. But the best I ever had was at this Spanish lady's house in Carmel.

For sure the best dessert I've had. Was on a hunt in Adirondack Mts, tracked a deer all night in sleet, got to camp cook made the best pancakes and sausages I've ever eaten, that I washed down with some beer I'd never heard of.

If there was Olive Garden, you know there were at least 5 other places nearby. I think you wanted to eat with the pasta fatasses.

It's the only city in Spain I've been too. Although I flew thru Madrid once about 25 years ago and there was an unbelievably thick haze of cigarette smoke throughout the entire airport. It was quite impressive haha.
