Sweet Potato Seasoning

Some years ago, I saw and bought a canister of Dawson Farms Gourmet Sweet Potato Seasoning. It was delicious on baked or roasted sweet potatoes. When it got low, I tried to find it again to no avail. This is the only thing I can find on the internet at all-a picture.
I had some of the mix and determined one of the spices was ground coriander. I came pretty close to making the mixture. I noticed that the can said that they teamed with Paul Prudhomme to make this mixture.
Still have the cannister to remind me of what I did before, but I also had a cannister of PP's salmon seasoning. Tasted it when using for a piece of salmon and the taste was familiar. Looked at the ingredients and they are the exact same and in the exact same order as the sweet potato mixture. The texture of the salmon seasoning is a bit different with bigger flakes of salt and pepper and missing a flavor in the sweet potato mixture. I think at least one is the ground coriander, so I added some and used it on a sweet potato last night. Very close and very good, so if you're looking for something to season your sweet potato, give PP's salmon seasoning a go and I suggest mixing in a bit of ground coriander.

I'm amazed there was enough demand for sweet potato seasoning that there was a whole product created for it.
It seems so specific. That said, I want it.
I'll have to pick up the salmon seasoning.

May have gone the way of the Dodo Bird, Passenger Pigeon and Kraft Garlic Cheese.

So was I, so I had to try it. I was surprised that I liked it so much. It was sweet and savory at the same time, but not real sweet. Just a hint of sweetness. A great balance.
When I was trying to find info, I found that the company which was in North LA was sold to a larger out of state company. Maybe that's when they dumped the seasoning.

Let me know what you think. Mix some with a little coriander until you like the taste if you like ground coriander.

Never heard of it. For baked slices, I just use olive oil and smoked paprika.

I make sweet potatoes weekly for either dinner or meal prep lunches. I cube them, cover in olive oil and sprinkle herbs de Provence then bake them.
They come out great and go with tons of main dishes.

I like that also, but like this seasoning better.

I don’t use cinnamon on my sweet potatoes. Don’t like it as much as a savory with a little sweetness seasoning. No cinnamon at all for me.

I go one of two ways with sweet potatoes: cinnamon, allspice, and cardamom on a baked sweet potato OR coated in oil and Bad Byron’s bbq rub, cubed and roasted.

I googled some variation of “Paul Prudhomme sweet potato seasoning yesterday” and one came up that was sweet and spicy, said it was good on apples etc.
But I can’t seem to find the exact one today. I will look again when I get home and see if I can find it again
