I'll be sad to see it go, even though I don't go to bars anymore. Not far from where I grew up. Spent many a night there playing pool and drinking Swamp Waters. Had a damn good burger when you were finished drinking.
Last time I went the original owner was still running it. I can't remember her name, but she was like Miss Brenda at Parenton's - always there keeping an eye on things.

Last time I went to the Swamp Room (over 5 years ago), the smoke was so bad I didn’t even want to eat. They always had a good burger though.

Wow memories there. Haven't had a swamp burger since college. We'd end up there after drinking all night after waiting tables at the Ralph and Kacoos down the other way on Veteran's.

Cristy was the Bar tender there in the late 80s, funny and a great person. I took sales managers there and they loved it. She made the best burgers noticed she put parsley and black pepper and a little salt on them.
