Something to break up the 2.5 hour drive. Hoping for a hole in the wall plate lunch kind of place, even a gas station if it's got great food. Cracklins and boudin suggestions are welcomed as well.
ETA: I-90, not Baton Rouge

In Morgan City there's a little hole in the wall place called Rita Mae's Kitchen. I've only been once, but it was good.
Bon Creole in New Iberia makes great po-boys.

The Yellow Bowl in Jeanerette!!! Was a speakeasy during prohibition. Great food!

I was going to recommend Yellow Bowl, as well, but I haven't been in more than 20 years! Recent reviews of the crawfish bisque are excellent, though.

Bourgeois Meat market (for beef jerky) is 10 minutes off of 90 at the Hwy 24 exit.
At the Raceland Bayou Blue exit there's El Cajun La Mex. they have a Fried Catfish and White Beans lunch buffet on Friday for under $10 and its pretty good.
Griffins at LA 1 and 90 in the shell gas station, good food.
Landry's (no affiliation to the Landry's chain) in Jeanerette had good food the few times I've eaten there.

It's been a couple of years, but I found The Latin Corner on Yelp while in Morgan City. Cuban food was pretty decent.

Interstate 90 is going to take you pretty far north of your intended destination.

Do I have to borrow my grandmothers handicapped parking permit to go there?
