My oldest son just bought a home in the Greatwood area. What are some good spots to grub in the area?

They lived off Westheimer for the past 2 years... pretty familiar w the city. Lookin primarily SW-ish of town.

Thanks!

I used to live in the area a few years ago, these were pretty good:

GURU Burger
Cooking Girl (chinese/szechuan)
Mai Colachi (Pakistani/Indian)
Fat Bao (asian fusion)
Bombay Pizza
Fadi's (Mediterranean)
Live Oak Grill (southern)
Ky Ans Kitchen (vietnamese)
Lopez (tex mex)

Short list, there are a lot of good places in Sugar Land.

Live Oak Grill
Guru Burger
Roux Pour (get appetizers)
Thai Cottage

There’s a Japanese place inside of Greatwood with some pretty good dishes (rolls, bang bang shimp stuff, tuna/crab mound) for their all-day happy hour on Sundays.

I’ve heard great things about the pork chop at Perry’s but have yet to go. If kids are involved, take them to Jupiter in Town Center. Kids can enjoy chicken and waffles, and the wings and beer selection is legit.

It's like a food desert unless you like Asian or Indian food.

We are in Bridlewood just behind Greatwood. Japaneros in Town Center off 59/Hwy 6 has very good sushi if they like this kind of food. Perry’s in Town Center if they like steaks and seafood Larry’s Mexican in Richmond is 10 min away and they have great fajitas and other Texmex.

When crawfish are in season tell them to check out Crawfish Heaven down hwy 6 about 3 Miles south of 59. Absolutely the best crawfish I have ever had. Half the family is coonass and I grew up eating crawfish. This place is awesome..

Everything around Greatwood off 59 back to Reading Rd is not that good. This area around Greatwood is a no mans land for good food.... especially coming from Westheimer area. We used to live in the 5000 block and moved out here. For really good stuff got to go back into Houston. We doing Trulucks tomorrow night.
