I just laughed so hard at this post.

Okay, thanks, y’all. That makes me feel better. Let’s hope whoever wins this one chooses a good ingredient.
I have a huge sweet tooth so thought chocolate was a great pick. Everyone is just different.
I kind of like how random the picks can be. It makes everyone be creative or sit a round out. And IMO both are fine.
I'm not near the chef some of you are, but I love seeing everyone's entries even if it is something my picky self would never eat. Like two entries with chocolate ravioli? Yes please!

I enjoyed it, and was fun for the wife and I.
I know I'll continue to enter future challenges. Chocolate was a tough one for a non-baker like me.

Same here, which is why I decided not to bake.
I'm not even a huge chocolate fan, I rarely go for chocolate ice cream or cake.
I appreciate the variety of ingredients/challenges though, it would be boring if we just kept going for different proteins.
I honestly am not sure what I would pick if I were to ever win.

It's a fun thing Boo and I like to do together as well. We invite our friends over every time. They moved to Knoxville from BR and have a son about 2 weeks older than ours. I don't care if I ever get a vote, I just enjoy doing it.
Submission posts just aren't my strong suite. I suck at taking the time to describe what I did, so y'all just get the pictures.

Miracle Whip.
Ok, I'll show myself out now.

Probably bacon.
Vote for me if you want the next ingredient to be bacon!
(Actually just vote for me if you think you'd like to drink a boozy chocolate milkshake.)

You’re doing awesome and the contests are great. So much talent that posts here and think it’s inspiring others that they can elevate their cooking game.

I aint no baker so I attempted a red wine/chocolate sauce over venison for this contest. It turned out horrible. The sauce did. Backstrap was money. But since the actual chocolate part of my dish was shitty I decided to withhold my participation
.

I withheld my soup submission because it would have been endlessly humiliating to post.

I’m going to make the chocolate cherry cake for my 95 year old grandfather, he will love it!

Fourteen submissions by 11 participants is lower than usual
What's the normal? I think 14 submissions by 11 participants is actually pretty strong.

I think the most has been 22 entries. And in the beginning, fewer than in this challenge. Also, one more person submitted after I posted that, so it’s not too bad. I’ll go back and tally the others at some point and include the info in the stickied thread.

Does the chocolate cherry cake need to be refrigerated or is it ok in a cake plate on the counter?
